Menopause -- Solutions for typical problems   (01-23-08)

"If you are going through menopause and having a difficult time with hot flashes, mood changes and fatigue, then I recommend you get your adrenals checked.  Your adrenal glands make DHEA which is the most abundant hormone in the body.  DHEA becomes very important when you are going through menopause because it takes over making estrogen and testosterone when the ovaries have stopped working.  If your DHEA is low you will have a more difficult time with hot flashes, mood changes and fatigue.

I do adrenal testing that not only checks DHEA but also cortisol, progesterone, insulin, an immune factor and a gluten antibody.  This is a saliva test that you take home and send into the lab yourself and then I get the results.  You don't need to suffer anymore.  Come in and get checked!"
