Andrea has the privilege of counseling
adult women as they navigate life transitions, grief and loss, trauma
and relationship concerns to name a few. She specializes in Women's
Issues, and believes mental and physical health are directly related,
which is why she not only incorporates healthy sleep, exercise and
self-care practices into her approach, but also partners with other
professionals in the field to provide holistic health care for each
client.
Andrea founded Blush Counseling for Women, in an
effort to help women find healing by working through areas in life
causing grief and hardship. She believes the relationship between the
client and therapist is the foundation for safe and honest
conversations and uses an attachment-based model to help build the
therapeutic alliance.
While there is no one-size-fits-all
approach to therapy, Andrea works with each individual client on their
goals and incorporates various therapeutic techniques depending on
their unique needs. Her background is in social justice and gender
related issues, and feels passionate about equipping clients with
tools and healthy coping strategies to navigate life outside of
therapy.
